In Need of Financial Assistance in Colorado? see what programs are available for you

The year 2020 was a challenging time. The Corona virus was just surging in the United States and the medical community still had no idea how to best handle the situation. I was pregnant at the time the state wide shut down happened. By pregnant I mean I was about to pop during that time.  My husband and I were trying to be smart with our money because we were getting ready for the arrival of our second baby and my maternity leave. Knowing I would be out of work within a month or so, I began saving and paying off any debt. Something many people did not get a chance to do before the pendemic hit. Because of this we thankfully had a bit of a cushion when it all went down.  Sadly many Americans did not have any heads up to start saving by the time the pendemic hit. Learn how to reach financial freedom; the Dave Ramsey way

When I was about 14 years old I got my first job. It was over the summer and I heard a restaurant was hiring and they didn't check any identification. My mom had been a single mom all of her life and she was struggling to find a job. She usually had two to three jobs to make ends meet. My sister and I had different dads but neither one was in the picture. So we were on our own.   Once I started working I realized how great it felt to earn my own money. I was helping my mom pay the bills at home. I had a phone, a car, and was able to eat out every day. In reality I was not very good at managing my money. My account was constantly...

Children and Dealing with Covid Aftereffects; My Two Cents on the Matter

The past year has been one for the books. In the sense that it's been crazy and dumb and unimaginable as well as tragic. Some of us have lost people close to us, others lost their jobs and some even parts of their childhood. I have been working with children for many years, more then 12 years to be exact. So I know  thing of two about how kids operate. However after this past year I have seen a shift in the way kids interact and behave. What I noticed is that children between the ages of three and five are much more dependent on adults. When the school year began I noticed many of the children in my care were reserved and needed much guidance. Their sense of independence had lessened. They expected the adults in the room to be doing most of the work for them. They complained, were easily bored and even a bit territorial. And eventhough they played with other children they really wanted adult interaction. I'm saying all of this because the pandemic has affected many of us, but...
