Do you want to want to budget and save money but have no motivation? Here are 4 YouTube channels that inspired me to save and live a frugal life

When I was beginning my journey into financial enlightenment I had a very hard time staying on track. I had my WHY,
which was being able to stay home with my first child for 6 months before returning to work. But I was such a big spender that it was like rewiring my brain completely. When I was bored I went shopping, when I was happy I went shopping, when I was sad I went shopping. Retail therapy had been my way to cope with everything in my life. I also have a love for good food and would constantly go out to eat. Spending money was my way to feel better. If I had a bad day I  would go out to eat with my friends. It was my reward to feel better. I had to learn to let go of that way of thinking and I couldn't have done it without YouTube mentors to guide me.

Coming from a single parent home with my younger sister and mom made it so easy to spend. We grew up not having much so growing up I built the idea that when I got my own money I was going to spend it on whatever I wanted. I would splurge constantly and rack up my credit cards. I had many issues with delayed gratification and over spending. It was a struggle and still is to this day. I would work two to three jobs so I had plenty of money. But by the time my paychecks came along I would end up barely having enough to pay my credit cards off. It became a vicious cycle of overspending. At one point I had attained more debt then  I could handle. I had to change! I wrote all my debt down on monthly budgeting sheets and began my debt snowball. But when it got hard I turned to YouTube for help. These YouTube channels helped me get through paying off my debt and taught me to budget.
This channel is run by a woman by the name if Angela, she is a mother of 4. She is the first person I ever herd say the word Home Economist proudly. Her channel is dedicated to showing the Dave Ramsey baby steps and showing her families process as they moved up each baby step. I really loved watching her channel because she focused on zero waist cooking and budgeting, which was exactly what I needed. She spoke about budgeting within her family and teaching her children the importance of money. She inspired me to keep going. Sadly there have not been any current uploaded video but there is plenty of content still available. She also publisher an e-cook book  on her page

Omg guys I can't believe this woman exists. She is amazing! Jordan is mom of 8, yup 8 kids and she is a budgeting guru. This woman is as real as it gets. Her channel is dedicated to everything mom life, budgeting, parenting and marital relationships. She is the complete package and I am so glad to have found her during my financial freedom struggles. She also has a budget boot camp program, productivity boot camp, a blog called Fun Cheap or Free and of course her own YouTube channel. Did I mention she created a budget/ everything else planner. This woman continues to inspire me!
This channel is very different from the other two. Chelsea; the creator, does not have children and is not at all interested in having any. Instead she has created this channel to talk about the many life lessons she has learned in regards to money. Chelsea talks about things like student loans, home buying, things that are worth buying, things that you should stop buying, things that you should consider before spending your money on a big purchase. She also does a great job on talking about financial lingo, because in less you are in accounting or financing there are many financial terms you don't know. The Financial Diet also brings in other YouTubers to talk finance and have discussions about money and society.

Lastly, I have to mention this channel because eventhought it's not a finance channel it thought me about mental toughness, perception and perseverance. Impact Theory is a channel started by Tom Bilyeu, one of the creators of Quest Bars. Tom interviews some well known people who have overcome adversity and have become successful. Some of the people he interviews have began their own companies, created wonderful foundations or have created systems to help people. It was here were I learned about Ramit Sethi. His book I Will Make you Rich has helpful financial information for anyone.

Learning to manage your money is not as simple as it seems. Especially in today's click and buy culture. There's is always support in different places. Whether it's blogs, social media groups or in this case YouTube. It will take time, perseverance and mindful effort to get to financial freedom, have grace and keep learning.

Wishing you the best
B.

My Personal Experience with Abdominoplasty(tummy tuck and lipo) and How it Changed my Self-esteem

It has been a while guys. Sorry I'm one of those people who start things, goes hard for 2-3 months then stops completely. It's a problem I know! It's truly something I'm working on and trying to fix. Which is why i'm writting again. Anyways straight to the point now... I had an abdominoplasty!!  For those who do not know what it is it's a tummy tuck and liposuction surgery and it is very invasive! I was cut open from hip to hip, the excess skin was cut off and my abdominal muscles where sown together to correct my diastasis recti. I had around 9 pounds of access skin and fat removed. Crazy right! But I'm honestly so happy I went threw with it because it has improved my self- esteem dratically.  Before doing the procedure I was dealing with self doubt and a very negative self image. My self esteem was super low and this was affecting me in all aspects of life.  Ladies you would understand me when I say if you do not feel attractive you definitely ...

The Begining!

How do I even begin? I never would have thought of being a blogger, and in all honesty I wouldn't be had I not bumped into some real frikin' wisdom in my late 20's. Mainly cuz I was pregnant so I couldn't just drink my thoughts away. Ugh it was a struggle. But I do think God knows why he does things. See I got pregnant as my husband had finally been accepted into a law inforcement program, we already had very energetic two year old, I worked full time and we were renting an apartment on the second floor. I say that because living on the second floor is no problem unless you are dealing with a pandemic, a new born and a two year old.  To make matters worse our relationship was super rocky, I was a pregnant emotional mess and we were constantly fighting. I ended up giving birth during the second week of quarantine. It was a rough time! I was almost completely alone. My husband attended Police academy. My mom and mother in law were the only people around us for the first 2...

In Need of Financial Assistance in Colorado? see what programs are available for you

The year 2020 was a challenging time. The Corona virus was just surging in the United States and the medical community still had no idea how to best handle the situation. I was pregnant at the time the state wide shut down happened. By pregnant I mean I was about to pop during that time.  My husband and I were trying to be smart with our money because we were getting ready for the arrival of our second baby and my maternity leave. Knowing I would be out of work within a month or so, I began saving and paying off any debt. Something many people did not get a chance to do before the pendemic hit. Because of this we thankfully had a bit of a cushion when it all went down.  Sadly many Americans did not have any heads up to start saving by the time the pendemic hit. Many people lost their jobs and were is danger of loosing their homes and businesses. The pendemic struck down anyone who was at all financially unprepared for life's challenges. Now how often does a pendemic strike rig...
